Gerald Müller is the head of the German Department. The linguist and father of seven children came to Yanji in 1999. He built up this department and created the German major as it is today.
Richard Schwemer was Director of The State Authority of Education in Munich/Germany. Now he teaches our 2nd year students in order to prepare them for the requirements of their future.
Helmut Linke joined our YUST-team in 2003. Also this year he is the main teacher of our 'freshmen' - the new 1st year students.
Kai Birkenstock arrived in YUST after studying Chinese language for two years. A businessman by training, with a passion for Business German, he is the advisor of the 4th year German majors.
Liane Gierer is obviously addicted to YUST! After spending half a year in Yanji in 2001, she returned in 2005. Now she takes special care of the 3rd year students.
Albert Brunoni arrived together with his Korean wife in early 2007. Our new long-term professor teaches Composition Writing, German Practice and Listening Comprehension.
Moritz Buhl came to Yanji for one year. Besides teaching German for non-majors and leading an Application Training course, he is responsible for the Website as Web Administrator.
